Pushkar Day 3

High on a mountain top...

Dave, Richard and the older kids climbed the mountain in the wee hours of the morning to catch the sunrise.

Z & M

Waiting for the sun...

Dave and the base camp guy...

Hopefully Dave will blog soon about this adventure, as I wasn't there and don't have all the details.

How about a little sugarcane...

for breakfast

Bees like sugar too

Beautiful bright colors

That's a loaded jeep

Me and M on a 1 year old camel

This was one scary ride... not only was the camel young and afraid of everything, but the saddle wasn't straight or secure. Not my favorite ride.

Walking into town

Crowds waiting for the Ferris wheel

Walking stick anyone?

Dave and Richard both bought these cool walking sticks, and had metal secured to both ends. Dave's was all decked out with colors and wire decorations.

Pitchforks...

were also a common tourist purchase

Adorable little boy...

While we waited for Dave and Richard to finish with their stick purchases, this little guy was "flirting" with Kelly, M and I.

The Million Rupee smile

Namaste...

Cute baby...

I assume the girl is his sister, because she looks way too young to be his mother, but in India, you never know.

Motorcycle parking

Doesn't look comfortable

Pots and poop

Roasted peanuts

Location, Location, Location!

This woman was parked in the middle of the street selling her pots. It's amazing she wasn't trampled.

Shoe repair

Sugarcane transport

A sweet shop

Bargaining for camel tack

Love this guy!

Womanly bonding time

Manly bonding...

or town meeting?

Need a shave or a haircut?

Moody camel...

this one wouldn't budge. He actually got really fiesty as we passed and the camel boy whipped him pretty good.

Welcome home Mom!
